I have used 3 gallons (1 gallon on 3 different applications) on my turf (just a small area) and the urine smell still remains as strong as ever. Followed all directions. Applied product after dark (temp < 70 degrees). Turf stayed wet for at least 45 minutes.
We tried everything to get rid of smell in artificial turf. We have 3 German shepards and the smell is gone the first time we used this product.
We have a small turf area for 2 small dogs. Not only does this product work on the turf, but we find it very effective on sidewalks too.
We’ve tried multiple products, this one is the only one that works 100%
I needed to buy a separate spray bottle
Because the one provided didn’t work
My wife and I have 3 dogs (all over 55lbs) and we typically have at least 1 foster dog too (large breeds) at any given time. The doggie run we have for them is 28.5' x 28.5' and it's in the Texas sun just about all day (at least until the tree we've planted in the middle gets big enough to provide some shade). As you'd guess, that area can get pretty darn stinky even though we've got a great slope and run the sprinklers regularly to "rinse" the turf. We've tried just about every enzyme cleaner out there and they all smell nice and knock the funk down for a day (at most) but it never lasts. I'm also not sure if the Biofill helps our hurts but every time I powersweep the turf, that stuff STINKS--so I feel like it holds the funk in the turf??
I was happy to stumble across OxyTurf and quickly ordered 4 1-gallon jugs to give it a try. The first time we put it down I went heavy and used all 4 gallons on the 812 sf and dang did it help! I can't say that it COMPLETELY eliminated the odor but it's easily 90% better and we've got years of funk to overcome. For the last few weeks I've been trying to dial in the right amount--1 gallon per week doesn't quite cut it but I think 2 gallons will likely do the trick. We're about to have our first triple digit heat day so we'll see how OxyTurf performs when the conditions turn very dry and VERY hot.
I guess my only wish is that there was a "pro-grade" option that might be a little stronger.... but until that happens, I think we'll be happy OxyTurf users.
